Sylwia Kiro-Zabinska MacIntyre

Graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw (MA), specialising in Clinical Psychology. Also holds an MA in English Studies, an MBA diploma and a certificate of a one year course in Psychological Support in Psychotherapy from the Gestalt Therapy Institute, Cracow.
Process Work, known also as Process Oriented Psychology, constitutes the base of her practice. Her qualifications are recognised in the UK, Poland and other countries in which there are Process Work training centres.
She co-operate with Feniks Support Services Ltd in Edinburgh, providing sessions for individuals and couples as well as workshops and trainings, in Polish and in English. She gladly joins forces with other non-government entities to deliver social and cultural projects. Her past work experience comprises a number of organisations, including City of Edinburgh Council, Penumbra, Girlguiding Scotland and Edinburgh Women’s Aid. She also runs a private therapy practice.
Her main psychological interests cover adaptation problems, intercultural differences, crisis intervention, trauma, relationship problems, self-esteem, inner critic, stress, burn-out and exploration of one’s life myth. Among passions she count Process Work, Japanese art, world mythologies, travelling to remote places and wandering through the spell-binding scenery of Scotland and Ireland.
